Concerned About Green Tea Caffeine Content?

0

Are you concerned about green tea caffeine content, but you want the health benefits green tea can provide?  Green tea does contain caffeine, but not as much as coffee or black tea.  With all the health benefits of green tea you still should be concerned about the caffeine if you are on a restricted diet and shouldn’t consume any caffeine.

Green tea caffeine varies by the kind of green tea you drink.  Here are a few green tea caffeine percentages: Gyokuro is .02%, Sencha is .015%, Hoji cha is .008% and Genmai cha is .0008%.  Compare this to .05% for coffee and black tea if you just need to cut back some on your caffeine intake, or if you like me you just shouldn’t drink too much of the high octane stuff after 2:00 p.m. or you may end up reading a book all night even if it isn’t a particularly good book.

One thing you can do to eliminate the caffeine is to take a green tea supplement that has been decaffeinated.  You will still get the health benefits of green tea, which are lower heart disease, lower risk of cancer, fewer headaches or none at all, better digestive system, help with weight loss, improve well being and increased life expectancy.

As far as I am concerned to help just one or two of those health concerns would be great, but when you put them all together it is absolutely wonderful.  And if you want to reinforce those health benefits even more you can take a supplement that contains decaffeinated green tea along with other well known nutrients like, coenzyme Q10, alfalfa extract, ginkgo biloba, amino acids, essential vitamins and minerals, and a whole host of others you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
